Haiti Relief Benefit Concert

In solidarity with the Haitian people, several St. John’s based student and community organizations hosted a benefit concert to raise money for the earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. The concert featured a variety of local musicians and bands, and ran from 3pm-3am at the Breezeway at MUN.

All proceeds were donated to the Humanitarian Coalition Fund. The Fund is a federally registered fund administered by Oxfam Canada, Oxfam Quebec, Save the Children Canada, and Care Canada. As part of the event, a large group of student volunteers also solicited donations for the relief effort from students, faculty and staff of the university throughout the campus all day.
This event was organized by the Canadian Federation of Students, Memorial University of Newfoundland Students’ Union, The Graduate Students’ Union, Oxfam, MUN HOPE, MUN Oxfam, and others.
