Steele Communications Hope for Haiti Radiothon
Three Steele Communications radio stations, 97.5 K-Rock, 99.1 HITS FM and 590 VOCM, joined forces for the first time ever to unite for one cause: an emergency radiothon to aid in the relief efforts of the Haiti Earthquake.
“Hope for Haiti” broadcasted live simultaneously on all three stations from 6am -6pm from the Avalon Mall. Folks stopped by to give donations in person, called them in and also donated online. At 6pm, it was announced that the radiothon raised $370,000! All proceeds went to the Canadian Red Cross's relief effort. Way to go to the gang at Stelle Communications and everyone who made a donation for the cause!
