RANL Hall of Fame Announced at Chefs Association Dinner
The Restaurant Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (RANL) announced the Restaurant Hall of Fame at the annual Canadian Culinary Federation (CCFCC) St. John’s Branch dinner which was held at the Delta. Through the help of supplier sponsors, the Chefs Association Dinner was a huge success, and RANL was given the opportunity to induct three deserving recipients into the Hall of Fame. An independent committee chose the first annual winners , who have been pioneers in the restaurant industry, or have contributed a long-term commitment to standards and employment. Stan and Jenny Parsons, as second generation operators of the Seaside Restaurant in Trout River, have made the family business a success in rural Newfoundland. The Steele Family and Paul Johnson were also inducted at the dinner as pioneers in the hospitality industry across the province.
