Feast of Cohen
Every December, the songs of Leonard Cohen are presented to a jam packed audience by a diverse chorus of Newfoundland singers, songwriters, actors, filmmakers, writers and musicians. Well-known and some not so well-known tunes penned by Canada’s poet-guru have become a part of the holiday tradition for St. John’s audiences longing to shake off the post Boxing Day Christmas blues!
This year’s Feast of Cohen at the Holy Heart of Mary Theatre marked the tenth anniversary of the oldest North American festival presenting Leonard Cohen’s songbook. Congratulations to Vicky Hynes, creator and organizer of the show, and her many performers for another terrific Feast of Cohen.
